Culture and Nature Exploration

Neeso Wakwis means "Our Lands" in the Kitasoo language. This tour is a five-day spiritual journey exploring the nature and culture of the Kitasoo/Xaixais traditional homeland. The tour will include guided interpretive trips by motorboat of inner and outer coast features, rainforests, geological features, ancient village and heritage sites, and archaeological sites. Fabulous photographic opportunities exist for landscapes, land and marine mammals and birds. Some of our Neeso Wakwis Discovery tours have interpretation themes such as ethnobotony, grizzly bears or coastal grey wolves. These tours are lead by knowledgable field experts who are conducting research in these areas.
